GLOVERS NEWS: Sam Foley wins majority of Yeovil Town awards

YEOVIL Town’s attacking midfielder Sam Foley took the lion’s share of the end-of-season awards today (Saturday, April 25, 2015) at Huish Park.

On what has been a hugely disappointing season with Yeovil suffering a second successive relegation, it might be only a small comfort for Foley to have been voted the club’s best player in what has been a disastrous campaign.

He won six of the eight awards up for grabs – Green & Whites Supporters’ Club; Western Gazette; Cary Glovers; Away Travel Club; Disabled Supporters’ Association; and the Community Sports Trust.

Liam Shephard won the Bobby Hamilton Young Player Award; while James Hayter and Gozie Ugwu were jointed winners of the Andy Stone Memorial Trophy. The Disabled Supporters’ Association award’s runner-up was James Hayter.

The awards were made following today's Sky Bet League One game with Port Vale which ended in a 2-1 defeat for Yeovil. It was the Glovers' final home game of the season.
