SOMERSET NEWS: Moto-cross bikes stolen from near Bridgwater

POLICE are investigating a burglary which saw two valuable moto-cross motorbikes stolen from a home near Bridgwater.

The offenders forced their way into the victim’s garage at Downend Road in Puriton on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, and removed two high value moto-cross motorbikes with a combined value of £11,000.

The offenders then wheeled the bikes across farmland at the rear of the premises and back out onto Downend Road.SOMERSET NEWS: Moto-cross bikes stolen from near Bridgwater

Police are appealing to anyone who might have heard or seen anybody, or any vehicles acting suspiciously, in the area between midnight and 7am.

They would also like to hear from anyone involved in motocross sport who might have been offered the bikes or parts for sale.

The motorbikes are a Kawasaki KXF250 with green body work and mudguards; and a KTM SX150 with orange body work and mudguards.
