Team captain Kelly Coombes, who was recently selected for the British Under-19s netball team, said: “We’re all really happy to be regional champions.  Last year, we were a new team and just getting to know each other, but we knew we would be much stronger this year.

“We’re not just individuals, we’re a team and this was very much a team effort.  Thank you to everyone for putting in lots of time and effort into training and to our coach, Kathy Potts, for all her support.”

YeovilCollege lecturer and team coach Kathy Potts said “The team showed excellent spirit throughout the whole season, resulting in some exceptional wins and fantastic matches.

“I would like to thank all the players for their hard work, commitment and support throughout the year.  This was a well-deserved win and we’re very proud of their achievements.  Well done ladies!”
