ZERO PROJECT: Valentine's Party for Under-18s at Club Neo

AN UNDER-18s Valentine’s Party has been organised as the next Zero Project and will be held at the Club Neo in Yeovil.

The party will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, and there is the option for club-goers to come dressed-to-impress in an angels and devils fancy dress theme.

The Valentine’s bash will be held from 7pm to 11pm and is aimed at Year Nine students and upwards and attracts young people from across Somerset and Dorset. Entry on the door is £5.

Those attending in fancy dress will have the chance to win one of four Cineworld tickets – prizes for those judged to be in the best costume.

Cllr Ian Martin, of South Somerset District Council, said: “Yet again the youngsters get the opportunity to enjoy a good night out in a safe environment.

“The Zero Project has been running for over seven years which goes to show how popular the events are and how well ran they are too by all the agencies involved.”

Following the success of the Young Promoters initiative, Zero have continued to engage young people from the three Yeovil academies and Stanchester Academy to participate in the organising and promotion of Zero events whilst working towards a national accreditation qualification.

The Zero Project is a multi-agency initiative that was established in 2007 with an aim to reduce anti-social and binge drinking by providing a safe, alcohol free environment for Year Nine students to 17-year-olds. The project is fully supported by the police, district and county councils, local businesses, schools and youth organisations.
