CLUBS AND SOCIEITES: Tree planting with Friends of Ham Hill

THE Friends of Ham Hill group will be holding a tree planting day at the Ham Hill Country Park near Yeovil next month.

The tree planting will be held from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, February 14, 2015, thanks to funding from the International Tree Foundation.

“We have 1,000 native trees to plant out in Pit Wood at Ham Hill,” said a Friends spokesman. “So why not come and do a bit for your environment?

“All you need is some warm clothes, stout footwear and a spade if you have one.”

The Friends will provide the tea, coffee, cake and the expertise.

Volunteers should meet at 9.45am in the Lime Kiln car park at Ham Hill where the rangers will pick you up and take you to the planting area.
