SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Van fire at reservoir

A VAN was left severely damaged by fire following an incident at Chard Reservoir in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday, December 24, 2014).

Firefighters were mobilised at just after 2.15am to reports of a vehicle on fire at the reservoir.

They found one van well-alight and quickly set about putting the fire out.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “The cause of the fire is still under investigation by us and the police.”
