A YEOVIL-BORN tour guide was the envy of his work colleagues today (Thursday, November 27, 2014) when he discovered who his passengers would be for a private tour of the London sights – the Miss World 2014 contestants!

Phil Harris, who went to Preston School in Yeovil from 1978-83, has been working as a tour guide for the past 14 years.YEOVIL NEWS: It was a tough job, but someone had to look after the Miss World ladies!

Only recently he was grabbing a photo with Miley Cyrus who had a taken a tour on his bus.

But Phil said: “She was lovely – although I had no idea who she was at first!”

But the Yeovil Town FC fan had a little extra spring in his step today when the bevy of Miss World beauties stepped onto his Big Bus.

“It was a tough job, but somebody had to do it,” he told the Yeovil Press.

The Miss World 2014 pageant takes place on December 14 at the ExCel complex in London. Just over 120 contestants from all over the world will compete for the crown.

But following today’s excitement, Phil was back thinking about more important things.

“I’m hoping to get to Yeovil Town’s game at Bristol City on Boxing Day,” he said. “Are there any tickets still available?”
