THERE is always a danger when starting to write a match report before the final whistle – things can quickly change in a blink of an eye and a touch of a computer keyboard.

Yeovil Town had been heading for another hugely disappointing defeat this afternoon (Saturday, November 22, 2014) when they went a goal down against ten-man Notts County in the Sky Bet League One.

But the game was heading into the final ten minutes when on-loan defender Jordan Clarke hit a double to ensure a remarkable Yeovil revival.

The home side had been reduced to ten men midway through the first-half when Gary Jones was dismissed for a reckless challenge on Yeovil defender Nathan Smith.

But Yeovil failed to make the advantage count and Notts County capitalised on a defensive blunder from Stephen Arthurworrey to open the scoring on 63 minutes through Mike Petrassso.

Yeovil threw on Simon Gilett and he wasted a great opportunity to have levelled soon afterwards and travelling supporters began to fear the worse.

But then it became the Jordan Clarke show.

He struck first in the 84th minute and then added a second to put Yeovil in front on 88 minutes.

Yeovil had to endure five minutes of added time, but they held firm to gain their first victory since a 1-0 success over Peterborough United on September 20, 2014.

Could this comeback at Notts County prove a turning point for the Glovers? The result saw Yeovil move off the bottom of the League One table up into 22nd place - a step in the right direction.
