SOMERSET NEWS: Dog rescued from pit
A DOG had to be rescued yesterday (Wednesday, October 22, 2014) after it had got trapped in a pit near Bridgwater.
The Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call at just after 5.15pm to the incident at Woolavington.
One fire engine and a specialist rescue team from Bridgwater was mobilised and officers found a dog within a field of brambles.
A Fire Service spokesman told the Yeovil Press: “We rescued one dog from a pit about five-feet deep within a field of brambles.
“The dog was returned, unharmed, to its owner.”
