YEOVIL NEWS: Va Va Voom for cyclists!

OOH LA LA! Cyclists will be getting on their bikes for charity next year and pedalling from France to Yeovil Town FC.

The YTFC Get Pedalling team will be setting off from Yeovil’s twin French town of Herblay, which is just under 13 miles outside of Paris, and travelling the 366kms to Huish Park between April 29, 2015, and May 3, 2015.

They will be hoping to raise as much money as possible for three charities – the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, the Cycling Fighting Cancer group and the Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust.YEOVIL NEWS: Va Va Voom for cyclists!

The cyclists will also be using the event to raise awareness of organ donation.

There will be a launch night for the Pedale de Paris event at Yeovil Town FC on Thursday, October 23, 2014.

Previous cycling adventures have seen the group pedal back from Crewe in 2013 and from Middlesbrough in 2014 in which they have raised tens of thousands of pounds for charity.

A spokesman said: “For 2015, the ride takes on an international feel as it starts in France, in Yeovil’s twin town of Herblay.

“The ride will last four days – ending in Yeovil at Huish Park on the Sunday. The distance is still a pretty daunting 386kms or 241 miles in old money.”

Anyone wanting further information about the event please check out the group’s website at www.ytfccycle.com or email ytfccycle@gmail.com .
