YEOVIL NEWS: Birthday cheers for Glovers’ fans Pauline

ONE of the biggest cheers at Huish Park last night (Tuesday, September 16, 2014) was for birthday girl Pauline Robus.YEOVIL NEWS: Birthday cheers for Glovers’ fans Pauline

Lifelong fan Pauline was celebrating her 70th birthday and it was just a shame that her beloved Yeovil Town could not give her a match-winning gift as the Glovers were held to a 1-1 draw by visiting Crewe Alexandra in the Sky Bet League One.

But that did not stop Pauline from smiling and enjoying the night!

The Yeovil Press was able to arrange a cheeky surprise for Pauline – a big cuddle from the Glovers’ larger-than-life team mascot, the Jolly Green Giant.

Pauline’s birthday was also announced during the half-time interval by commercial manager Dave Linney and it was greeted by big cheers from her friends and co-supporters in the Main Stand at Huish Park.

She was also presented with a signed Yeovil Town shirt from striker James Hayter who was unavailable to play last night due to injury.
