Seven supporters from Cardiff City, who had travelled to Somerset last Sunday (July 27, 2014) to see the pre-season friendly between their team and Yeovil Town, were chucked out of the ground during the match which saw a 4-1 win for the visitors.

“All of them were ejected for drink-related issues and for damage caused to roofing and seating,” the Glovers’ police liaison officer Ian Hambridge told the Yeovil Press today (Wednesday, July 30, 2014).

Earlier this week he had said on social networking Twitter: “Shame some Cardiff fans preferred to misbehave. My colleagues in Cardiff will pursue and CCTV will assist.”

A crowd of 2,018 attended the match including 805 travelling Cardiff fans.
