RESULT: Plymouth Argyle 1, Yeovil Town 2

A DEFLECTED long range shot from Yeovil Town’s Sam Hoskins gave the Glovers a 2-1 pre-season friendly victory tonight (Wednesday, July 30, 2014) at Plymouth Argyle.

Former Yeovil striker Reuben Reid gave Plymouth a tenth minute lead, but Yeovil were level midway through the opening period when Liam Davis netted with a curling effort.

Yeovil’s winner came with the game having moved into the final ten minutes when substitute Hoskins saw his shot take a deflection which left the Plymouth keeper with no chance.

The Glovers are remaining away from Huish Park for the remainder of the week on a “team bonding” exercise ahead of their pre-season friendly at Truro City in Cornwall on Saturday (August 2, 2014).
