SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Vegetables being stolen from allotments

ALLOTMENT-HOLDERS in a South Somerset town are having problems with thieves pinching the vegetables they have been growing.

There have been a number of reports of veg being stolen from allotments in Chard.

Police have been made aware of the problem and officers are carrying out regular patrols of the allotment area.

The police are often working with the Chard Allotment Association and Chard Town Council to see what can be done to improve security.
