SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Sun shines for Carnival fun day

THE sun shone brightly for the South Petherton Carnival Committee today (Sunday, July 20, 2014) as its annual fun day was held in glorious weather.

There were all the usual stalls, sideshows and activities – including children’s and adults races – plus an ever-popular human fruit machine game at South Petherton Recreation Ground in Lightgate Lane.

The committee’s attention will now be turning to its main event of the year and Carnival Week which will culminate in the annual procession through South Petherton on Saturday, September 13, 2014.
