YEOVIL NEWS: Students showcase their Creative and Design work

TALENTED young artists at Yeovil College will be showing off their work later this week.

The college is delighted to announce its end-of-year Creative and Design Show for 2014. The exhibition will start with a ‘meet the artists’ event on Friday, June 20, 2014 from 5pm to 8pm and run until Friday, June 27, 2014.

Entitled ‘Made’, the exhibition showcases the work of approximately 300 talented Yeovil College students completing a wide range of qualifications, including A Levels, vocational courses and the pre-university Foundation Diploma in Art & Design.

The students have produced a variety of stunning work, including drawings, paintings, sculpture, mixed media, photographs and print work.YEOVIL NEWS: Students showcase their Creative and Design work

The college’s Adrian Ponter, curriculum manager for creative and design industries, said: “Made celebrates the very best creative talent at Yeovil College and gives everyone the chance to see the results of the students’ hard work and imagination.

“If you’re considering an art, design, media, photography or IT course at the college, this is a great opportunity to come and see where a course can lead and find out what it’s actually like to learn here.

“Visitors are always impressed with what they see and the students are thrilled to be able to share their work with the wider community.”

Made begins with a ‘meet the artists’ event at Yeovil College’s Mudford Road campus on Friday (June 20, 2014) from 5pm to 8pm.  The exhibition remains open to the public from 10am to 4pm from Monday, June 23, 2014, to Friday, June 27, 2014.

Visitors need to sign in at reception and will be given directions to the venue.
