Women’s Football: Yeovil Town Ladies 4, London Bees 1

STACEY Pearson hit a memorable hat-trick for Yeovil Town Ladies yesterday (Sunday, April 20, 2014) as they gained their first-ever win in the Women’s Super League Two.

Katie Cook had given Yeovil a 35th minute lead in the match – played at Sherborne Town FC – and Pearson made it 2-0 just before the interval.

Yeovil made it 3-0 shortly after the start of the second period with Pearson’s second of the game before the visiting London Bees reduced the deficit in the 58th minute.

But Pearson regained Yeovil’s three-goal cushion with her third of the match in the 71st minute.

A crowd of 281 was at the match – which was played in heavy rain.
