Blackburn Rovers v Yeovil Town: Game of the century coming up

YEOVIL Town know that they have to produce one of their best performances of the season if they are to get anything out of their visit to Ewood Park this afternoon (Good Friday - April 18, 2014).

The Glovers are in desperate need of points in their final four matches of the season to retain their Sky Bet Championship.

With Yeovil back on the bottom of the table – following Barnsley’s 2-1 win at Charlton Athletic earlier this week (Tuesday, April 15, 2014) – they know that victories are vital.

Although a draw at play-off chasing Blackburn would be a good result on paper, in reality Yeovil have to go looking for a win.Blackburn Rovers v Yeovil Town: Game of the century coming up

And Yeovil boss Gary Johnson is under no illusions at the task ahead.

“Let’s be honest – Blackburn are a very good side,” he said. “Little Old Yeovil have got to go there and produce the game of the century.”

Johnson said that while Yeovil need a win, Blackburn will also be looking for three points and in Jordan Rhodes they had a player of real Premiership quality.

“Jordan Rhodes might not do a lot for most of the game, but then he pops up with a winner,” said Johnson. “Jordan Rhodes is a Premiership player.”

Johnson said, however, that despite the size of the challenge ahead of his team they could take heart from performances they had made at other top sides such as Leicester City, Derby County and Wigan Athletic.
