IT speaks volumes of where Yeovil Town have come in such a short space of time that the Glovers will be disappointed with gaining just a point from their match at Blackburn Rovers this afternoon (Good Friday, April 18, 2014) in the Sky Bet Championship.

When Blackburn won the Premier League in 1994-95 with the SAS strike partnership of Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton at the front – Little Old Yeovil were finishing bottom of the GM Vauxhall Conference and facing up to life in the ICIS League.Blackburn Rovers 0, Yeovil Town 0: Little Old Glovers will fight on - regardless!

Move on nearly 20 years and Yeovil travelled to Ewood Park this afternoon knowing that a win would certainly help them in their battle to survive for another season in the Championship.

Yeovil battled and worked hard to keep their hosts at bay and on any other day a 0-0 draw against a Blackburn team boasting such top names as Paul Robinson, Jordan Rhodes and David Dunn would be much celebrated, but not today.

The Glovers know that they could have done with a sneaky 1-0 win to keep themselves in with a shout.

Yeovil are not going to get any Lady Luck this season and they will have to battle for everything.

The Fat Lady herself is still left waiting in the wings before she can start singing, but the mountain to safety has got slightly steeper if the Great Escape is to be accomplished.

It might take a miracle – but miracles can happen.

And, remember, if Yeovil Town fans were told at the end of the 1994-95 season when the Glovers were relegated from the Conference and Blackburn were winning the Premiership that in 19 short years we would be drawing 0-0 at Ewood Park in a league match – we would all be saying YOU ARE HAVING A LAUGH!
