SOMERSET NEWS: Seven casualties in road smash

TWO vehicles with seven people inside them were involved in a road smash near Burnham-on-Sea this afternoon (Sunday, March 16, 2014).

The incident happened at just after 3pm at Berrow and two fire engines from Burnham and one from Weston-super-Mare attended the scene.

Officers found two vehicles with seven casualties – one of whom was still trapped inside the wreckage.

Firefighters removed a roof with hydraulic cutting gear to release the casualty.

Ambulance paramedics and police were also in attendance.
