SOMERSET NEWS: Pedestrian dies after collision with taxi

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 23-year-old man died during the early hours of this morning (Sunday, March 16, 2014) in Taunton.

The man was involved in a collision with a taxi on the A358 at Obridge Viaduct at about 3am. The taxi was travelling from the Priorswood direction towards Taunton town centre when the collision occurred.

A police spokesman said tonight: “The pedestrian was declared dead at the scene shortly afterwards.

“Collision investigators are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident who may have information to help their enquiries.”
