The Preston canteen also joined in the fun with a Harry Potter inspired menu and students were served their food by Hermione, Ron and Harry!

Head of English, Claire Lawson, said: “We have also joined forces with a school in Vietnam and the book group will be discussing their book choices with students in Vietnam in order to celebrate all things book-related.”

All students also received a £1 book vouchers to spend on the special edition World Book Day books or off a book of their choice.

And Claire added: “Next year, we hope for bigger and better celebrations in school!”
