Paramedics help woman after fire
ONE woman needed treatment after suffering from smoke inhalation following a fire last night (Monday, March 10, 2014) at a home in Ilminster.
The alarm was raised at just after 7pm to initial reports of an electric fire on fire at a property in Victoria Court, Silver Street.
Two fire crews from Chard and one from Ilminster attended the scene and discovered that there had actually been a small fire in a grill pan.
The kitchen area suffered smoke damage, while ambulance personnel carried out treatment on one woman.
A spokesman for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “The cause of the fire was accidental.”
