Three fire engines called out for grill pan alarm

FIREFIGHTERS from Yeovil were among those who responded when the alarm was raised about a fire at a home.

It was just before 6.30pm last night (Monday, November 11, 2013) when crews from Somerton, Martock and Yeovil were mobilised to reports of a grill pan fire at a home in Highfield Way, Somerton.

A spokesman for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “On arrival crews confirmed that this was an unattended grill pan alight and removed it to the open air.

“The fire was confined to the grill pan and nothing else was damaged.”
