Football: Wayne Hennessey arrives at Yeovil Town

YEOVIL Town yesterday (Wednesday, August 21) completed the loan deal involving 26-year-old Wolverhampton Wanderers and Wales goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey.

He has arrived at Huish Park for an initial one-month loan move to replace young Manchester United keeper Sam Johnstone who saw his loan move to Yeovil cut short due to injury.

Hennessey had originally been lined-up last week to join the Glovers as a replacement for Yeovil’s number one Marek Stech, ruled out for three months due to a broken hand, but had to pull out of the move due to injury.

He will go into the Yeovil squad for Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship match with Derby County at Huish Park – kick-off 3pm.

The Yeovil Press would like to welcome Hennessey to Huish Park and hope that he has a successful and injury-free time with the club.
