Yesterday's Farming: A gateway back to the pastTHE annual Yesterday’s Farming event takes place this weekend (August 17-18) and will provide something for all the family to enjoy.

Around 350 members of the South Somerset Agricultural Preservation Club will be showing off everything with a rural or agricultural theme from the past 100 years.

There will be historic ploughing and wheel bonding demonstrations, stationary engines and steam engines, heavy horses, traditional hay and cider making at Leaze Farm at Haselbury Plucknett, near Crewkerne, - TA18 7RJ for Sat-Nav users.

There will be auction held today (Saturday, August 17) and a dog show tomorrow (Sunday, August 18), as well as other entertainment and a bar.

Yesterday’s Farming opens from 9am to 5pm on both days. Tickets cost £7 for adults and £1 for children. More info  is available at www.yesterdaysfarming.co.uk – but the event really is a “gateway back to the past.”
