Family fun day in memory of Jenson at the Royal Marine

A FAMILY fun day will be held over the August Bank Holiday Weekend at the Royal Marine pub in Yeovil to raise money for charity.Family fun day in memory of Jenson at the Royal Marine

The fun-packed day on Sunday (August 25) at the Royal Marine in Great Westerrn Terrace will see plenty of activities for all the family including tombola, ice creams, bouncy castle, lucky dips, cake stalls, biscuit decorating, raffles, prizes and face painting.

All proceeds from the day will go towards the Cots for Tots group which supports the vital work of the neo-natal intensive care unit at St Michael’s Hospital in Bristol.

The aim of Cots for Tots is to ensure the babies and their families from across the region have the very best possible care and facilities available.

The family fun day at the Royal Marine pub is in memory of brave Jenson Jake Lawrence, of Yeovil, who died earlier this year aged just three months old.

Jenson was born with breathing difficulties and as a result was starved of oxygen from birth.

After battling for 14 weeks in hospital in Yeovil, Bristol, Glasgow and back to Bristol, Jenson tragically lost his fight for life.

It is his family’s intention to raise as much money for the Cots for Tots appeal.

The message is simple – dig deep and go along to the family fun day on Sunday, August 25, to support this worthwhile cause. Every penny really does count and makes a difference.

All the fun starts from around 12noon.
