YEOVIL Town started 2013 in fine style with a 3-0 success over Leyton Orient at Huish Park this afternoon in the npower League One.

Two goals from Paddy Madden and one from James Hayter gave Yeovil the three points. They moved up to ninth in the table on the back of the win and stay three points adrift of the play-off zone.

More importantly, Yeovil are now a big 18 points clear of the relegation zone.

Madden broke the deadlock in the 41st minute and then Hayter extended Yeovil's lead on the hour mark. Madden then netted again to give Yeovil an unassailable 3-0 lead in the 74th minute.

Madden has now scored nine goals since arriving in South Somerset on loan from Carlisle United earlier in the season.

Yeovil boss Gary Johnson has now told the BBC that a deal between the two clubs has been agreed and that Madden should become a permanent signing within the next day or so.

A crowd of 3,516 was at Huish Park this afternoon for the match.
