Volunteering with the National Trust

THE opportunity to take part in a volunteering taster day is being offered today (Friday, November 2) by the National Trust at Montacute House as part of a Community Service Volunteer campaign.   Volunteering with the National Trust

The CSV Make a Difference Day will involve members of staff and existing volunteers who will be running hands-on activities for people to try, and also sharing their experiences and answering questions.

Activities will range from planting bulbs in the garden, working outdoors with a Countryside Ranger and helping the learning team get ready for Christmas.

Montacute gardener, Deanne Lewis, said: "Volunteering can be a way to share your skills, learn new ones and make new friends, so please come and join us between 11am and 5pm on the day. Please call at reception to sign in and we will then direct you to your activity of choice,”

For more information on getting involved in CSV Make a Difference day, call Freephone 0800 284 533, or visit the website www.csv.org.uk/difference.
