Mo Bros launch Movember campaign

STAFF and students at Yeovil College have announced they will be taking part in this year’s Movember campaign.

During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in the UK and around the world. The aim is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

So far, seven ‘Mo Bros’ have signed up to join the Yeovil College team, including staff from Faculties including Performing Arts and Engineering & Construction.   Mo Bros launch Movember campaign

IT Technician Lee Brooks of Yeovil is captaining the team.  Seasoned fundraiser Lee said “After losing my mum, I started fundraising for cancer charities.  Up until now, I’ve always done things on my own, like a sponsored bungee jump and completing a 26.2 mile walk around London earlier this year.

"This month is the sixth anniversary of her passing and I thought it was time to organise something different and bring as many people together to take part as possible.

"We’re inviting anyone from Yeovil College, including students, and anyone who would like to join our team to help us raise awareness and hopefully as much money as we can for Movember – while also having a laugh at each other’s upper lip hair of course!"
