Football: Yeovil Town 1, Portsmouth 2

YEOVIL Town's run of defeats was extended to six npower League One matches last night (Tuesday, October 2, 2012) when they went down 2-1 to Portsmouth at Huish Park.

A crowd of 4,769 watched as Izale McLeod gave the visitors a 13th minute after latching onto a pass from Wes Thomas.

Yeovil drew level midway through the second period when Nathan Ralph was adjudged to have been fouled inside the box and Reuben Reid stepped up and converted the resulting penalty.

But any hopes Yeovil had of bringing an end their terrible run of results were dashed moments later in the 79th minute Gabor Gyepes netted to score what turned out to be a decisive winner for Pompey.
