ILMINSTER Town gained a point yesterday (Saturday, September 29, 2012) in a 1-1 draw at home to Ashton and Backwell United in the Premier Division of the Errea Somerset County League.

The Blues struck first in the opening half, but the visitors drew level and secured a point in the second period.

The result means Ilminster are mid-table in 11th spot on nine points from their seven games played.

Castle Cary suffered a 2-0 defeat at Keynsham Town Reserves in Division One and are now eighth in the table on ten points from six matches played.

Combe St Nicholas gained a battling 0-0 draw at second-placed Portishead Town Reserves in Division Two West. Combe are ninth in the table after eight games played with 11 points in the bag.

Ilminster are back in action on Saturday (October 6) when they play host to Cutters Friday in the Premier Division.

Castle Cary are away in Division One action on Wednesday (October 3) when they visit Glastonbury Town, while on Saturday (October 6) they are travel to face Broad Plain House in the Somerset Senior Cup.

Combe St Nicholas are at hoe to Worle in Division Two West on Saturday (October 6).
